I stumbled upon Whitworth Ranch Retreat when I won a free weekend for myself and nine friends. That was in January 2013, and since then I've retreated there seven times with two coming up soon. After that first visit, I've come to the conclusion that I love to retreat!
I suppose the reason to pack up almost everything you own and go on a retreat is to be productive, knock out a few projects and create from sunrise to sunset. And, yes, this is true, but there's so much more than that. There's just something about the fellowship that makes my heart sing. Oh - and the food certainly is definitely a plus. I have been so fortunate to have made so many wonderful new friends as well as renewed some friendships with people I have known for a long time.
I am married to The Runner and he's the one that carries everything down the stairs and loads up my car for each retreat. Bless him because I'd never be able to do it myself.
